The average clearance under the bridge is 5 foot.
 

B. Water Level:

1.  Why does the lake water level not stay constant?

The lake level can rise or drop due to spring ice and snow melt and rain or lack of rain during the summer. As the lake level changes which could mean thousands of gallons of water the dam's flood gate has to be opened and closed. Unfortunately the dam is only capable of allowing a limited amount of water thru to lower the level, and it take great quantities of water to keep the level up. The flood gate is closely watched and constantly adjusted , but it may take a few day or more to remove or gain water to maintain optimum levels.
 

C. Access to the Lake and the Launch:

1. How do I get use of the launch ?

Located on County 28 is the KLC launch and parking area. Use of the launch is provided with KLC membership and a $10 key fee. To find out more about KLC membership write to P.O. Box 53, Niverville, NY 12130 or call (518) 784-2050.

2. Is there Public Access to the lake?

Thru cooperation with NYS, KLC has provided public parking and carry top boating lake access at the County 28 launch site.
